How it all started
The history of Alfa Blikk & Bygg AS stretches back two generations, back to the time when Marek Oprzanski's grandfather started the first business. As a skilled tinsmith, he built up a renowned company that set the standard for quality work in his local area.
When Marek's father later took over, the knowledge and craftsmanship were continued and perfected – and passed on to his five sons. Over many years, they were able to learn the trade in depth, and a family legacy was created that today forms the basis of Alfa Blikk & Bygg.
Marek learned a lot about the traditional methods of rehabilitation and roofing in the historic city of Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River. This city, known for its old buildings and rich architecture, gave Marek a unique insight into the restoration of older buildings and specialist expertise in traditional roofing methods.
This experience has given Alfa Blikk & Bygg a valuable understanding of both modern and classic construction techniques – making them experts in everything from new construction to rehabilitation.

New episode on the other side of the ocean
Marek Oprzanski's journey continued alone to New York, where he took his craft experience to new heights. In this metropolis, he gained invaluable insight into roofing and tinsmithing, with a particular focus on durable methods for metal fittings.
Marek learned detailed techniques that ensured that all work was carried out with longevity and precision – knowledge that would become central to his further career.
In addition to the craft, he received thorough training in how to run a business. Through experience in project management, customer contact and quality control, the foundation was laid for his later business in Norway.
Safe harbour in Oslo
After several years of experience and professional development in New York, the trip went to Norway – this time together with Marek’s newly established family. With Oslo as his new base, he started his first own business and laid the foundation for what would become a lasting business. Marek started with small construction projects, where he himself was both craftsman and general manager, but soon the demand grew, and he hired his first team.
In 2012, he established Blikkenslagerservices AS, and the company continued to grow with special expertise in roofing and tinsmithing. After a few years, the company became Alfa Blikk & Bygg AS, and with a strong focus on quality, precision and experience, the company has continued to grow and deliver state-of-the-art construction services today.
